Simmons Sport Horses, established in 2013, provides equine boarding, lessons, and a training facility for all disciplines.
Simmons Sport Horses is located in Mount Solon, VA. Exercise your horse with ample pastures to trail ride or challenge your horse with jumps in the 125' x 250' arena while enjoying the scenic mountain views. After a full day of exercise or taking leisurely pasture rides, board your horse in one of our roomy full-care stalls or pastures with run-in shelters. Various options are available for all boarders; however, our staff is flexible and willing to work with specific needs and requests.
Approximately 15 minutes from the campus of Bridgewater College and 25 minutes from James Madison University, we are a perfect location for college students to board and ride throughout the year. Because of its warm and friendly atmosphere, Simmons Sport Horses has quickly become a favorite boarding facility for not only college students, but for locals as well.

About Us
Jared Simmons
Owner
Jared was raised on a family farm in Mount Solon, VA, where he became comfortable with livestock and horses.
His love for horses led him to to pursue a career in horse training which would eventually lead to him living his dream of owning and operating a horse training business.
Simmons has over a decade of experience and success in training horses. He practices a non-aggressive training method that is comfortable for both the horse and rider.
Simmons has completed advanced training and certification programs from The Kenny Harlow Training with Trust Certification Program , The Kenny Harlow Training with Trust Apprenticeship Program, and the Purina Professional Horseman's Training.
As a horse lover and a people person, Simmons loves to care for and train horses and riders alike. He pushes individuals to become a better rider and his training results in a more obedient horse. Simmons looks to use his passion of training horses everyday to provide exceptional care for horses and their owners.
